The field of sport management focuses on the business side of sport, fitness, and recreation. Topics include sport ethics, marketing, management, and accounting. An exploration of career requirements and opportunities in sport management is included. Required coursework includes classes in sport management, business, and liberal arts and sciences. The A.S. degree option provides for transfer to a baccalaureate program for continued study, networking, and expanded career options. Phi Theta Kappa is recognized as the official honor society for community colleges by the American Association of Community Colleges. PTK provides many leadership and civic engagement opportunities for students. To be eligible for membership, you must have completed a minimum of 12 hours of coursework at ¶¶Òõpro with a cumulative GPA of 3.5. Invitations to join the society are mailed to eligible students at the end of each term.
